Getting Gahanna Going

When Gahanna Mayor Laurie Jadwin took office in 2020, she quickly realized that she needed to let the world know that Gahanna was eager and anxious to work with businesses to enhance the business climate in the city and improve its outlook for future economic development.

She also realized that she and her staff would need assistance if they were to succeed in stimulating the city’s economic development efforts, capitalize on the growth that was already occurring within the city, and restart some stalled projects.  She called on inSITE Advisory Group to assist in getting those projects going.

With two decades of experience in sales, marketing and municipal government, inSITE knows first-hand how to proactively promote and manage growth, identify opportunities and build successful public-private partnerships.

inSITE immediately focused its expertise on those projects that were close to completion but needed a boost to continue forward. This included two mixed-use developments as well as an industrial expansion project that had been started by the previous administration.

That was just the start as inSITE continues to assist the Gahanna’s Economic Development Department. The work includes reaching out to industrial and manufacturing businesses that would benefit from help with expansion inside the city, addition and retention; identifying new opportunities and developable properties; creating the tools and mechanisms for offering growth incentives; and, most importantly, letting the world know that Gahanna is open for business!
