Sean Joyce

President

Sean Joyce, President of inSITE inSITE Advisory Group, is a Certified Public Accountant and proven executive leader in financial management and strategic development with over 20 years of experience in a leadership role with organizations from a multi-billion dollar for profit organization to nationally recognized non-profits. He is a two-time Crain’s CFO of the Year Nominee (2014 & 2009). In 2009, he was a recipient of the Greater Akron Chamber 30 for the Future Award.

Sean joined inSITE October 2022 and will service clients in both the public and private sectors with site selection, funding, and economic development assistance. Under Joyce’s leadership, inSITE will also now offer Owners Representative and Program Management Service which includes turn-key project management services including planning, design, scheduling, procurement and bidding, project start-up, construction and installation, and project close-out.

Heather Russell

Project Manager

Heather brings twelve years of municipal government experience to the inSITE team. Prior to joining inSITE, Heather worked for the Community and Economic Development Department for the City of Cuyahoga Falls. Her experience involved working on public-private partnerships, planning and zoning, budget management, annual reporting and creation of marketing materials. During her time at the city, Heather also served on the Cuyahoga Falls Community Improvement Corporation, a non-profit board of business professionals responsible for improving the economic viability in the City through a variety of funding methods including low interest loans and matching grants.

Janie Hanna

Project Manager

Janie worked at a construction and real estate development company in Northwest Ohio before joining inSITE as the top Analyst. As a project manager of inSITE Advisory Group, Janie works with clients in both the private and public sectors providing a variety of economic development services. For our private clients, this entails site selection, incentive procurement and grant management. For our public clients, this entails managing development projects and assisting community and economic development planning. By working with both the private and public sectors, she provides a collaboration between the two for successful development projects that meets the needs for businesses and communities. She manages the process and implementation of public/private partnerships, site selection, project management, incentives and funding. Janie has experience in pre – construction, construction and post construction processes, property management, marketing and market analysis, accounting, financial analysis, brokerage processes and development plans and proposals.

Jennifer Syx

Advisor

Jennifer Syx has worked with clients in the private, nonprofit and public sector for more than 20 years. Jennifer founded inSITE as an economic development organization to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors to build partnerships that create jobs, and increase communities’ tax base leading to increased investment for underserved smaller communities that don’t have funding or resources to reach beyond their potential. Her influential leadership has helped advance the growth of inSITE to procure and manage $253M in grants and incentives, leveraging over $910M in private investments in the State of Ohio, and resulting in the retention and creation of more than 7,725 jobs.

Prior to inSITE, Jennifer managed a variety of development projects throughout the region. She is well skilled in local, state and federal programs that can provide much‐needed financing for new construction, infrastructure and community projects. Jennifer currently serves as the Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Summit County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) where she has been a member since 2017. She is also an advisory board member for the Tinker’s Creek Watershed, focused on sustainable practices for redevelopment projects within the watershed. Jennifer is a past member of the Woodridge Foundation in Cuyahoga Falls where she helped identify new funding sources to support scholarships and special projects for the school district.
